What is Homeopathy?

So... what actually is homeopathy?

Essential oils? Nope. Herbs? Nope. Supplements? Also no.

Homeopathy is a natural system of medicine based on the idea that the body has an incredible ability to heal and regulate itself.

Rather than simply treating a symptom, homeopathy looks at the individual pattern of symptoms: how they feel, what makes them better or worse, what else is happening in the body, and what makes your experience unique to you.

Homeopathic remedies are made from substances found in nature and are prepared through a process of repeated dilution and succussion. Each substance has its own characteristic pattern, and the aim is to find the remedy that most closely matches the pattern of the person.

In simple terms, like is matched with like.

The homeopathic approach is to use that match as a gentle stimulus, essentially giving the body a signal that corresponds with the pattern it is expressing, with the intention of supporting its own self-regulating and healing response.

So it isn't simply "a remedy for a headache" or "a remedy for anxiety." It's about asking: "Why is THIS person experiencing THIS in THIS particular way?" And finding the remedy that fits that individual picture.

Homeopathy looks at the whole person, not just the problem.
